Audiences picking up theatre tickets and heading to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2016 will be in for a treat as the Truman Capote classic Breakfast At Tiffany’s is adapted for the stage. With direction from Nikolai Foster and a stand-out script adapted by Richard Greenberg, it is bound to be one of the must-see shows of the year.

It is clear that crowds will flock to see the production not just because it retells the story so beloved since the 1950s, but also because it welcomes the well known pop star Pixie Lott to the stage as she takes on the iconic role of Holly Golightly.

By joining the production she follows in the footsteps of the legendary Audrey Hepburn, whilst also joining a long list of popstars to turn their attentions to a West End stage. Recent years have seen the likes of Beverley Knight appear in Memphis and Nicole Scherzinger appear in Cats, but in 2016 it is the turn of Lott to show audiences what talents she has in store.

She is best known for songs such as All About Tonight and various hit albums, but Lott has also made a name for herself as an actor thanks to films such as Fred The Movie and television shows like Inspector George Gently.

But in Breakfast At Tiffany’s she takes on her most exciting role yet as she plays Holly Golightly, the woman with whom every man falls in love. The story takes audiences back to the 1940s, where we meet a writer who falls for her when they meet one another in New York. He doesn’t think he can compete with the richer suitors that head her way, but she has an interesting life he can’t resist and as he learns more about her it soon becomes clear that the past cannot remain the past forever.

The show will also feature a memorable score, with music plucked from the era that will ensure audiences take a step back in time.

Joining shows such as War Horse and Les Misérables as stand out shows that have also had a life on the page and screen, Breakfast At Tiffany’s lands in the West End with a run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from Thursday 30th June 2016.
