  • Dawn French: 30 Million Minutes - Vaudeville Theatre
When audiences head to the Vaudeville Theatre later this year they will have two opportunities to see well known comedians on the stage. Dawn French is one of them as she brings her show 30 Million Minutes to the venue from November and she does this one month prior to Bill Bailey with his latest production Limboland.
French is one of the nation’s beloved comedians and as a result it is only right that West End audiences get to spend the evening with her this winter as she follows in the footsteps of various other comics who have done the same over the years.
Dawn French: 30 Million Minutes will spend its time providing audiences with insightful stories from her life. Over the last three decades she has become a household name and we will explore the career that did this whilst also delving into her personal life. So comic anecdotes about her work and issues like marriage are likely to make a mark.
The mentioned three decades have ensured that she is well known to different generations of fans. After all, she first emerged in the 1980s as part of the alternative comedy boom of the era, appearing with Comic Strip Presents and making guest appearances on The Young Ones, before teaming with Jennifer Saunders for the series French And Saunders. As the years progressed she then appeared as Geraldine Granger in The Vicar Of Dibley, arguably one of her most popular roles, and she has also found the time to make to London stages like the Royal Opera House and the Lyric Theatre.
So she will have plenty to say as she finds her way to the Vaudeville Theatre this winter. Her show, 30 Million Minutes, runs at the venue from Thursday 12th November 2015 (previews from Wednesday 11th November 2015).
