The popular musical Dear Evan Hansen continues its run at the Noël Coward Theatre in London’s West End.
The show opened at the venue in 2019 and has attracted theatregoers worldwide following its successful run in the United States, with audiences relishing in a compelling story that deals with some weighty and contemporary themes. It weaves its way through some heavy topics whilst also dishing out some memorable musical numbers, resulting in a show that has been much talked-about at the Noël Coward Theatre.
One of the topics of Dear Evan Hansen is teen suicide, with Hansen himself caught up in a lie that was unintended but soon spirals out of control. He finds himself providing solace to the grieving parents of a deceased classmate who believe that he was closer to the boy than he really was. This is a story about fitting-in and finding a place in the world so expect some positive messages along the way as we experience musical numbers like Waving Through A Window, If I Could Tell Her, You Will Be Found, Good For You and Words Fail, amongst others.
The show has a book by the American playwright Steven Levenson, whose work has won him great acclaim. Prior to his Tony Award-winning work on Dear Evan Hansen, he also worked on the likes of Days of Rage and The Language Of Trees, both off-Broadway. His book for Dear Evan Hansen is amplified with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Dear Evan Hansen continues at the Noël Coward Theatre under the direction of Michael Greif. It is booking at the venue to Saturday 30th May 2020.
