Derren Brown: Miracle Photos & Video
Derren Brown is no stranger to the West End, with the famous illusionist bringing his stage shows to the capital on a regular basis, and 2015 ensures that his relationship with Theatreland continues as he presents his new show Miracle. Taking his productions in a new direction, Brown hopes to change the ways in which audience members think and as it heads to the Palace Theatre following its appearances at numerous theatre across the United Kingdom, it is clear that it will be tried and tested in the West End.
Miracle is said to take the Derren Brown experience in a more philosophical direction and invites those with theatre tickets to change their ways of thinking so that they might become happier. If the audience reaction from the UK tour is anything to go by, it is clear that this format has proven a winner for Brown and the team.
That team also includes his long-time collaborator Andy Nyman, the magician and actor whose success stories in the West End include numerous productions with Derren Brown, plus the high profile horror show Ghost Stories, which he penned with Jeremy Dyson.
Both he and Brown earned a Laurence Olivier Award in 2006 for the stage show Something Wicked This Way Comes and it is one of many to grace the West End since he started bringing his productions to the stage with Derren Brown Live in 2003. Brown’s other West End hits (both with and without Nyman) include Infamous in 2013, Svengali in 2011, Enigma in 2009 and Mind Reader: An Evening Of Wonder in 2007. Meanwhile, audiences will also be familiar with his television work, which includes Derren Brown: The Heist, Apocalypse and The Experiments, amongst many others. He is perhaps the best known illusionist in the United Kingdom.
And in 2015 he appears in the West End in a year that also brings the anticipated magic show Impossible to the Noël Coward Theatre, showing that there is plenty to choose from when it comes to great spectacle in the capital.
Derren Brown presents Miracle at the Palace Theatre from Tuesday 17th November 2015 (previews from Wednesday 11th November 2015).
