2018 brings an array of top shows to the capital and these are not just restricted to those winning the attentions of older audiences – the younger generations will get a chance to experience some as well!
Each summer, with schools out and kids on summer holidays, many families flock to the West End to introduce youngsters to the magic of live theatre and they have been spoilt for choice in recent years with productions like The Gruffalo, Room On The Broom and We’re Going On A Bear Hunt, amongst others.
Another stand-out show for younger audiences is the Horrible Histories series, which has been a regular voice in the capital for many years and returns in 2018 with Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part 4.
Anyone that has seen Parts 1, 2 and 3 will know that they are in for a great ride with Part 4, which once again delves into the country’s hilarious and gruesome past, mixing humour with education and leaving all of the gruesome details intact.
Previous shows in the series have focuses on figures like Guy Fawkes and Burke & Hare, whilst also delving into artefacts like the Magna Carta. For Part 4, we look at kings and queens like Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, delve into eras such as the Georgian times and also go as far back as the Romans. The result will be a great time in London’s West End this summer!
So make sure you catch Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part 4 when it runs at the West End’s Apollo Theatre from Friday 3rd August 2018 (with previews beginning on Thursday 2nd August 2018).
