Orpheus: The Mythical

Orpheus: The Mythical - Other Palace, London

Age Restriction: To be confirmed.

The legend of Orpheus is retold on the stage of The Other Palace in London, this time as part of an event that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Orpheus Centre.

This musical comedy production appears under the direction of Katie Beard and features music and lyrics from the acclaimed musician and lyricist Richard Stilgoe, whilst certain performances might feature some familiar faces as part of the Greek Chorus. The result is likely to be something that can be celebrated for years to come.

The Orpheus Centre is a charity that aims to provide disabled children with abundant opportunity and was founded by Stilgoe back in 1997. Meanwhile, as a writer and musician, Stilgoe has had an impressive career, ranging from television shows to stage musicals. He has worked with people like Andrew Lloyd Webber and performed in the Royal Variety Performance, making him a hugely talented practitioner whose interpretation of Orpheus will make a lasting impression.

And so it heads to the stage, playing at The Other Palace in a year that also brings the similarly-titled (but otherwise unrelated) Myth: The Rise And Fall Of Orpheus. It plays at the venue from Friday 23rd March 2018.
