The Apollo Theatre in London’s West End welcomes the second fantastic show from the Mischief Theatre that focuses on the exploits of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society. Peter Pan Goes Wrong lands in the capital in December 2015 and comes from the makers of the equally impressive The Play That Goes Wrong, with the original cast returning and Adam Meggido directing.

It is one of many stand-out shows to take an inward look at theatre itself. The West End is obviously home to The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre for the foreseeable future, but this year the capital also welcomes Ushers: The Front Of House Musical to the Arts Theatre as well.

But with Peter Pan Goes Wrong we return to the mishaps that inevitably arise at the hands of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society. Whilst The Play That Goes Wrong saw them attempt to stage a 1920s murder mystery, this time they attempt to explore the world of the boy who never grew up with a production of Peter Pan. Once again, however, technical issues, cast problems and more ensure that this is not going to be a smooth sail.

The cast includes the show’s writers Henry Shields, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Lewis, plus further performers Nancy Wallinger, Greg Tannahill, Charlie Russell and Dave Hearn. Together they work under the direction of Adam Meggido, who also finds audiences this year as the co-creator of Showstoppers! The Improvised Musical at the Apollo Theatre.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is bound to be a hit with fans of the Mischief Theatre’s original production (which can still be seen at the Duchess Theatre). It runs at the Apollo Theatre from Friday 4th December 2015.
